Inter-department 8 a side indoor cricket Tournament – 2020

The Sports and Welfare Wing of Goodrich Lanka Pvt.Ltd organized an inter-department 8 a side softball cricket tournament at Lavinro Cricket Academy indoor cricket complex on 5th September 2020 with the participation of the majority of staff and the Management.

Teams representing Accounts department, Container Depot Operations, Marketing department and Management participated in the inter-department tourney. Team Management clinched the Championship while Team Depot operations were the Runners up. Team Marketing won the 3rd place match beating Team Accounts. Mr.Mewan from Team Depot clinched best batsman title, Mr. Chaminda from Team Management clinches best bowler title of the Tournament. The organizing committee also picked up 3 best women players and accordingly Ms.Amali from Team Accounts, Ms. Chathurika from Team Marketing and Ms.Sherina from Team Marketing was awarded best women players of the Tournament.

The MD Mr. Taarik Booso addressing the gathering stated that the management intends to organize many outdoor activities to the staff to keep up the team spirit high at all times. He congratulated that Sports and Welfare team headed by Mr.Rawshan and Mr.Ayendra for successful execution of Inter-Department Indoor Cricket Tournament 2020.
